"One of these Days"

Revelation 21:1-7


We have lots of old hymns and gospel songs
about Beulah Land, Canaan, Up Yonder, and Heaven.
A contemporary song and recently-movie talks about
how we, “can only imagine what it will be like.”
The Apostle Paul said it will be so fantastic
that actually we cannot even imagine it!

Revelation gives us a glimpse. Newness -
the old is gone. Forever with God.
No more tears. No more death or grief or pain.
Eternal life. No evil.
No need for the sun because
of the brightness of God's glory.

One of these days! God has promised it will happen,
so it will. Long for it. Pray for it.
But stay faithfully involved in building God's kingdom.
It won't happen until the kingdom work is done.
Only God knows when that will be.
But it will be done. It will come.
Take heart. Be encouraged. Do not
grow weary in well doing. Keep the faith.
We will be with Jesus - one of these days!


Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for the promise of Your return.
Thank You for the promise of eternal life in heaven.
Help us stay faithful as we await that glorious day!
